The Newfoundland and Labrador Public Sector Pensioners’ Association recently completed an “Economic Study on the Implications of Past Governments’ Actions on the Present State of the Pooled Pension Fund”. Authored by Alison Coffin, a highly credentialed economist and professor of economics at Memorial University, this study projects the value of the Pooled Pension Fund to today if Government had matched public sector employees’ pension contributions between 1967 and 1980.
